We’re Recording!

We’ve started recording our new album, “Calling Long Distance”!

This will feature 12 songs – eight all new originals, three covers done in our unique style, and one cover of our friend Stewart Maxwell’s song “Watch That Thing”, a fun double-entendre boogie.

We’re hoping to have it completed by June, depending on recording studio and musician availability. Sign up for the mailing list to get some “behind the scenes” videos of the recording sessions (and other free stuff!)

2024 Tours!

We had an incredible time in the UK this past July, late August and September. Festivals, clubs, private venues, it was all great. We’re looking forward to coming back to the UK in the fall of 2024, if not before.

We had a great December here in New York as well, including a gig at the fabled Stephen Talkhouse. Like the 100 Club in London, the list of people who performed there is just amazing.

Please stay tuned as we make new touring announcements for 2024! Plus, a brand new original album is coming…

Russell “Hitman” Alexander formed the Hitman Blues Band and recorded their first release in 2000. With 9 overseas tours and 7 releases, the band uses humor and audience participation as a big part of their act. But the main attraction is the excellent songwriting, musicianship, and performances.

They play modern/alt blues, which can be high energy, slow and soulful, or happy boogie. It combines rock, funk, jazz, and – of course – blues, to create blues of the 21st century!

Hear it for yourself! Just enter your name and email address (and this will NEVER be shared with ANYONE) below and, within seconds, you’ll be sent the download link to the FREE 5 song sampler and be added to the quarterly newsletter subscriber list!

So load up your favorite player and settle back to listen. Because it’s not the same old retread of the greats. As Midwestern Records said, “Now that’s the blues! This is the real deal…”
