Slither

I got the name "Slither" from the title of a CD by my good friend, Jim Moran. I thought, "What a great title! I should write a song about that!"

And poof! Fifteen beers later, I had scribbled this on a soggy bar napkin. She must have been pretty good looking, or maybe she was never even there...

You don't know me but I've been
Watchin' you, that
Fool you're with
He ain't got a clue
I shiver, I just can't wait to begin
When that snake moves out, baby I can slither in

He don't love you, baby
He don't care
He thinks love is just a
One night affair
I shiver, I just can't wait to begin
When that snake moves out, baby I can slither in

(bridge)
I can slip and I can slide
I can shake it from side to side
I can take all your grief and pain
And bring you someplace you ain't never been

I can make you sweat, I can
Make you moan,
You're never gonna want to go back home
I shiver, I just can't wait to begin
When that snake moves out, baby, I can slither in

I can slip and I can slide
I can shake it from side to side
I can take all your grief and pain
And bring you someplace you ain't never been

I can make you scream, I can
Make you sigh, I can
Make you love me till the day we die
I shiver, I just can't wait to begin
When that snake moves out, baby, I can slither in

Spoken:
Find a nice warm spot, where I can slither...
NO, it's not cold and slimy!
